Toyota Auris is the new rival for Golf. Toyota says its new Optimal Drive – the Japanese take on BMW’s Efficient Dynamics – have trimmed CO2 down to 125g/km on the 1.4 D-4D, and a new stop-start system is ushered in on the 1.3-litre petrol.
